Colin Davis, OF — Seattle Mariners
Latest Update (March 17, 2026): Colin Davis, Seattle Mariners. Subbed in as the left fielder and went 1‑for‑2 with a home run and 2 RBIs in the Mariners’ 10-6 win over the Colorado Rockies at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. Davis hit his home run in the 9th inning with 1 on and 2 out off Zach Agnes. Davis is now batting .500 with an OPS of 2.500 and 2 home runs this spring training.
Latest Update (March 12, 2026): Colin Davis, Seattle Mariners. Subbed in as the left fielder and went 1‑for‑1 with a home run and 3 RBIs in the Mariners’ 7-4 loss to the Chicago Cubs at Sloan Park. Davis hit his home run in the 8th inning with 2 on and 1 out off Tyler Beede.
Latest Update (March 5, 2026): Colin Davis, Seattle Mariners. Subbed in as the left fielder and went 0‑for‑1 with a strikeout in the Mariners’ 27-6 loss to the San Diego Padres at Peoria Stadium.
Colin Davis arrived in pro ball with one of the more decorated offensive résumés in Wofford history, and his early amateur track record suggested a relatively quick climb. A seventh‑round pick by Seattle in 2021, Davis also flashed upside in the Cape Cod League in 2019, hitting .368 in limited action with Brewster while showing power, speed, and plate discipline.

The professional results, however, have been uneven. After moving steadily early in his career, Davis hit a wall in High‑A. In 2024, he appeared in 46 games and hit just .131, effectively resetting expectations. The follow‑up in 2025 showed marginal improvement but still fell short of impact production. Splitting time between High‑A and AAA, Davis played in 45 games and hit .198 with four home runs and a .637 OPS. The most encouraging data point was that his AAA line (.224 average) exceeded his High‑A production (.164), a reversal that at least hints at adaptability rather than regression.
The 2026 outlook is challenging. After two consecutive seasons of limited offensive output, Davis enters spring training needing to reestablish his baseline. If he breaks camp on a full‑season roster, High‑A or AA is the most realistic landing spot. The margin is thin, but his defensive value and prior track record still buy him time.
At Wofford, Davis was anything but marginal. He played in 181 games with 178 starts in center field, finished with a .320 career average, 35 home runs, 146 RBIs, and 152 runs scored, and earned multiple All‑SoCon honors. His senior season was historic, making him the first Terrier named Southern Conference Player of the Year. That version of Davis is what Seattle is still hoping to rediscover.

Latest Update (Feb. 20, 2026): Ryan Galanie subbed in at first base and went 0-for-1 in the Chicago White Sox’s 8–1 spring training win over the Chicago Cubs at Sloan Park.
Ryan Galanie represents the steadiest upward arrow among Wofford baseball players in the MLB and MiLB conversation. Drafted in the 13th round by the White Sox in 2023, Galanie has done exactly what organizations ask of older college bats: hit, adjust, and keep moving.
He debuted in Kannapolis and immediately looked comfortable, posting a .276/.336/.407 line while playing clean defense. The real breakout came in early 2024, when Galanie tore through Single‑A pitching at a .346/.432/.582 clip over 38 games, earning Carolina League Player of the Month honors and a promotion to High‑A Winston‑Salem.
High‑A was less forgiving. Over the remainder of 2024, Galanie hit .213 with a .716 OPS, but the overall season line still finished strong: 106 games, 17 home runs, 73 RBIs, and a .266/.374/.460 slash. The walk rate held, the power translated in stretches, and the defensive reliability remained intact.
In 2025, Galanie took another step forward. Splitting time between High‑A and AA, he led all White Sox minor leaguers with 94 RBIs, added 26 doubles, stole 14 bases, and posted a .749 OPS. Coaches consistently praised his adaptability, situational hitting, and offseason work ethic—traits that tend to age well in pro systems even when raw tools are average.
The 2026 outlook places Galanie at a crossroads. He has been older than his competition at every stop, which increases pressure to keep advancing. He is likely to break camp in AAA, where the challenge will be proving he is more than a AAAA bat. If the power ticks up just a bit, he profiles as a viable 1B/DH depth option for Chicago.
At Wofford, Galanie was a cornerstone. He hit .339 over 151 games, totaled 34 home runs, earned Southern Conference Player of the Year honors in 2023, and combined elite on‑field production with academic recognition.

Marshall Toole, OF — Tampa Bay Rays

Marshall Toole might be the most interesting projection in this group. Drafted by the Yankees in the 15th round in 2024 and later traded to Tampa Bay, Toole checks nearly every box of a Rays prototype: elite speed, on‑base skills, defensive value, and relentless energy.
In 2025, Toole dominated Single‑A, hitting .305/.406/.479 with a 148 wRC+ and swiping 44 bases in 96 games. Power remains limited—five home runs—but Tampa Bay has built entire rosters around players who do everything else well. At 22 in A ball, the age‑to‑level dynamic tempers the ceiling slightly, but the skill set plays.
The 2026 outlook hinges on one thing: performance against upper‑level pitching. Toole is expected to move into High‑A and potentially AA with Montgomery. That jump will determine whether he remains a fun stat‑line or becomes a legitimate prospect.
At Wofford, Toole rewrote the record book. In 2024 alone, he set single‑season program records for triples, runs scored, and stolen bases while hitting .375. Over three seasons, he hit .333, scored 171 runs, and stole 82 bases, earning multiple All‑SoCon and academic honors.
