JP Sears — San Diego Padres (Triple-A El Paso Chihuahuas)
Latest Update (May 7, 2026): JP Sears, El Paso Chihuahuas. Turned in his strongest start of the 2026 season, firing 5.0 innings while allowing just two hits and one unearned run, walking two and striking out eight to earn the win in a 4–1 victory over the Tacoma Rainiers. Sears threw 83 pitches, including 52 for strikes, and mixed in a little SoCon-on-SoCon crime along the way. Colin Davis, the former Wofford standout, drew a walk in the second inning before Sears got his revenge with a strikeout in the fourth. Former UNC Greensboro standout Hogan Windish also squared off with Sears twice, but Sears won both battles — inducing a groundout to end the second inning with Davis aboard and later retiring Windish on a flyout to left to open the fifth.
